Some of our most cherished moments on campus are those we share with grandparents and special friends. We have an unforgettable event planned for GrandDays 2025, including classroom activities, student performances, campus explorations, a delicious meal, and a photo booth!
Monday, March 31
- GrandDays for grades 6-7 (8:15 a.m.-2 p.m.)
- Abbreviated day for grades 8-12 (8:15-11:50 a.m.)
Tuesday, April 1
- GrandDays for grades 8-12 (8:15 a.m.-2 p.m.)
- Abbreviated day for grades 6-7 (8:15-11:50 a.m.)
Arrive early for refreshments, and check in at the dining hall starting at 7:30 a.m. before classes begin at 8:15 a.m. Guests should dress casually, wear comfortable shoes for walking, and be prepared for unpredictable spring weather. Golf carts will be available for those who need assistance.
Registration
Register grandparents and grandfriends by March 13, 2025. Please note that only Academy parents and guardians can access the registration system. Register here.
GrandDays 2025 Details
Arrival and Departure
- GrandDays programming will begin at 8:15 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m.
- All three campus entrances — Harper, Wyoming, and Moon — will be open during arrival and departure times.
- From 9 a.m. to noon, only the main gate at Wyoming and Burlison will be open. If you plan to arrive or leave during this time, please use the main entrance.

Parking

Monday, March 31 (Grades 6-7)
- Lots 4 and 6, and the overflow dirt lot north of lot 4
- Lot 5 will be available for guests needing accessible parking.
Tuesday, April 1 (Grades 8-12)
- Lots 1 (closest to check-in) and 8
- Lot 10 and parking along the circle near Simms Center for the Performing Arts will be available for guests needing accessible parking.
On-Campus Transportation
Golf carts will be available throughout the day for guests who need assistance. We kindly request that this service be reserved for those who require mobility support.
Check-In
Guests should pick up their GrandDays packet at their designated check-in table. Check-in tables will be located in your student’s dining hall as outlined below. View a campus map here.
Establishing a Meeting Place
If grandparents or grandfriends are arriving separately from their student, please coordinate a meeting point at the start of the day.
Dress Recommendations
GrandDays include time both inside classrooms and outdoors, so please dress comfortably and appropriately for the changing weather.

- 7:30 – 2 p.m. Academy Reads
- 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Photo booth open
- 8:15-11:50 a.m. Attend classes with your student.
- 11:50 a.m.-12:50 p.m. Lunch in the dining hall
- 12:50-1 p.m. Welcome from Associate Head of School Christine Lenhart in Simms Auditorium
